What we do with your details
Short version: we use them to reply to you, we do not share them with anyone else, and you can ask us to delete them at any time.
Who we are
SOMUKPROPERTY LIMITED operates this website. If you have any question about your information, get in touch through the contact form.
We are registered in England and Wales, company number 17337609.
What we collect
Only what you type into one of our forms. That means your name, your email address, your phone number if you give one, and whatever you tell us about your property — its type, rough size, condition and how soon you want to move.
We do not ask for financial details, and you should not send them. We do not buy contact details from anyone, and we do not add you to a mailing list.
Why we hold it, and on what basis
To answer you. If you ask us about selling a house, we use what you have sent to work out whether it is something we can take on and to reply. Under UK GDPR our lawful basis is legitimate interests — you contacted a business expecting a response, and we cannot give one without keeping your message long enough to read and reply to it.
Who else sees it
Our contact forms are delivered by Formspree, which processes the submission and emails it to us. Their privacy notice is at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.
Beyond that, nobody. We do not sell your details, we do not share them with agents or brokers, and we do not pass them to anyone marketing to you. If a sale goes ahead we will need to share details with the solicitors acting, and we will tell you at the time.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead anywhere are deleted within twelve months. If we buy a house from you, we keep the records relating to that purchase for six years, because tax and conveyancing rules require it.
Cookies
This site sets no tracking or advertising cookies, and there is no analytics running on it. That is why you have not been asked to accept anything. If that ever changes we will ask first.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Ask through the contact form and we will respond within one month. You do not have to give a reason and there is no charge.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
